His lab focuses on inventing chemistry-enabled tools to study cellular structure, function and signaling pathways, with a particular focus on neuroscience. This mainly follows two lines of efforts: enzyme-based probes for profiling biomolecules in neurons, and optical reporters for neural activity. |
