Center for History and Philosophy of Science: Tu Youyou and Botanical Journals in Hawaii won the Best Popular Science Work award


December 28, 2016: the ceremony for the 4th China Science Writers’ Association Award for the Best Popular Science Work (hereinafter referred to as the Award) was held at the China Hall of Science and Technology. The biennial Award is the highest honor in the field of popular science established by the China Science Writers’ Association for authors and publishing agencies who have published outstanding popular science work in Chinese.

 345 books and 84 animation movies entered the competition. After a year of preparation and rounds of strict evaluation, 25 books and 6 movies were granted with the Golden Award, including two books by Peking University faculty, Tu Youyou (edited by Yi Rao, Daqing Zhang, Runhong Li et al.) and Botanical Journals in Hawaii (by Huajie Liu).
