Center for Quantitative Biology

The Center for Quantitative Biology (CQB, formally Center for Theoretical Biology) was established on September 17, 2001, as a result of the collective efforts of interested faculty members and the visionary support from Prof. TD Lee and PKU leadership. CQB’s mission is to promote research, education, international exchange and collaboration at the interface of physical and biological sciences and to become an international center for the emerging interdisciplinary field of Systems Biology. CQB is supported by Peking University, Chinese Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, and by National Natural Science Foundation of China as its first Interdisciplinary Innovation Group. CQB is located in the Building of Beijing Institute of Modern Physics, with faculty offices, visiting scholar offices, conference rooms, student offices, computer room, and quantitative biology laboratories. CQB provides an excellent interactive research and education environment for students, faculty and visitors.
